Lifestyle of an international musician is also incredibly lonely, isolating, and hypercompetitive. The audiences I was singing for had grown so large that they started to feel impersonal. The reason I went into singing in the first place ! the connection, the healing potential ! felt more and more distant. I was burnt out, disconnected, and in desperate need of fresh creative energy.
